AI Coaching Apps

About this index

AI Coaching Apps is made by Thomas Grininger, founder of YOUB, and the team at YOUB FlexCo, Austria, the company that makes YOUB. YOUB is one of the 52 apps listed here. That is a conflict of interest, and this page says how it is handled.

How the index stays fair

  • One public rubric for every app, including ours. Facts come from each vendor's own pages and link to them. Scores follow the published rubric and cite public evidence. What has no public evidence stays blank, for YOUB as for everyone.
  • No private knowledge. YOUB's facts and scores move only when youb.app publishes a page that states them. What the team knows about its own product and has not published does not count.
  • Shortlists are rules, not choices. Every "shortlist" on this site is the output of a rule printed next to it, recomputed from the data on every build. Nobody picks a winner. An app with a score set by the site owner is excluded from every shortlist; today that excludes YOUB itself (3 owner-asserted scores).
  • No affiliate links, no paid placement, no sponsored entries. No vendor can buy a position, a badge or a mention. Links to vendors are plain links.
  • Right of reply. A vendor who thinks a fact or score is wrong sends the public page that states the correct one, and the entry is corrected and dated. Disagreements with a score are published on the app's page on request.
  • Everything is dated and logged. Each fact and score records the day it was checked. Every change to the dataset is listed on the changes page.

What is covered

52 AI coaching apps and 12 MCP connectors for running, cycling, triathlon and swimming, in 26 category pages by sport, device, need and how the coaching works. An app qualifies when it builds a training plan for an endurance goal and changes it from the athlete's data. Generic fitness trackers, workout libraries and analysis-only platforms are not included unless they also generate and adapt plans.

How entries are made and kept current

A new app is classified from its own site and store listing, then scored against the rubric from the public evidence that exists at that time. A weekly crawl of the intervals.icu forum and the running, cycling and triathlon subreddits surfaces new apps, pricing changes and athlete threads; every proposed change is reviewed by a person before it lands. Facts are re-verified at least every six months.

Corrections and vendor contact

Vendors and athletes: send the page that states the correct fact. Include the app name and the URL. Submissions are applied with the source and the date; the sender is not published.
